Challengermode Partners With Opera GX for Grassroots Tournament Fund – The Esports Observer

Sweden-based esports platform Challengermode introduced Thursday that it has partnered with multi-platform net browser Opera GX (a gaming-focused model of the favored browser) to create a fund for grassroots esports competitions.

The preliminary quantity of the fund can be $30K USD, and can be made obtainable to match organizers within the U.S., UK, and Germany for tournaments targeted on such video games as Valorant, Counter-Strike: International Offensive, League of Legends, and Teamfight Ways.

The fund, in line with a launch, is aimed toward spurring development on the grassroots stage, versus different funds that sometimes concentrate on “path to professional” tournaments. Challengermode says that these funds will assist grassroots organizers “scale up and reduce prices whereas concurrently offering them with a scalable platform to cut back overheads.”

To be eligible for the fund there are some necessities: functions might want to have run one match efficiently on the Challengermode platform, be within the eligible area, and should carry Opera GX branding within the promotion of their occasions. Functions shut in August.
