James Gunn Is Using Suicide Squad’s Advertising To Help Boost Comic Shops

Author-director James Gunn is getting deserved kudos for serving to to advertise comedian outlets along with his upcoming movie adaptation of DC’s Suicide Squad. On Twitter, an eagle-eyed Mitch Gerads (the comics artist behind Mister Miracle and Unusual Journey) referred to as appreciative consideration to a message encouraging followers to “get DC comics at comedian outlets” on a poster shared by Gunn.

Responding to the thanks, Gunn defined that he “was so freaking completely satisfied to do this” and that “post-pandemic I wish to help our film theaters and our native comics outlets and all of the fantastic comedian e book publishers, writers, and artists on the market.”

That Gunn is utilizing his appreciable platform for a noble cause–especially as we’re winding our approach again from the pandemic–only makes him a cooler dude than we already assumed him to be. Gunn’s fondness for comics can be no thriller, simply going by his upcoming initiatives alone.
