They\u2019re unskippable, connected to a pre-game video known as &#8220;MyTEAM Season 2, Episode 7&#8221; that\u2019s auto-started in a loading display screen that takes longer than the adverts run.<\/p>\n<p><span data-s9e-mediaembed=\"youtube\"><span><span type=\"background:url(https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/zszLy-IYUf4\/hqdefault.jpg) 50% 50% \/ cowl\" data-s9e-mediaembed-iframe=\"[\" allowfullscreen=\"\" cover=\"\"\/><\/span><\/span><br \/>Back in September, EA made a similar move in <i>UFC 4<\/i>, by adding in-game adverts to it&#8217;s replays. Due to receiving negative feedback, the publisher had to quickly remove them.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, EA said:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bbCodeBlock bbCodeBlock--expandable bbCodeBlock--quote  jf_message--selfQuote js-expandWatch\">\n<div class=\"bbCodeBlock-content\">\n<p>\nIt is abundantly clear from your feedback that integrating ads into the Replay and overlay experience is not welcome. The advertisements have been disabled by the team and we apologize for any disruption to gameplay that players may have experienced.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\nCustomers were annoyed that they were made to watch unskippable adverts after paying for a full-priced game. Perhaps, <i>NBA 2K21 <\/i>will charge players extra should they wish to play the current-gen title on next-gen devices.<\/p>\n<p><i>NBA 2K21 <\/i>is available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Stadia and Windows PC.
